Cullman Area Rural Transit System (CARTS) is a Rural Public Transportation Provider for Cullman County, Alabama. The CARTS fleet is comprised of 37 vehicles ranging in size from a standard van to a 25 passenger bus. 36 of the 37 vehicles are equipped with accessible lifts. Information and Forms: CARTS Rules and Guidelines Request for Reasonable Modification Information Routes Demand-Response Routes: Monday - Friday Shopping Routes: City Shopping Routes Pick-ups are scheduled for 10am, or 12 noon, on a first-come-first-served basis. County Shopping Routes are as follows: Monday - Vinemont, Jones Chapel, West Point Tuesday - Holly Pond, Welti, Berlin Wednesday - Cold Springs, Dodge City, Good Hope Thursday - Baileyton, Gold Ridge, Fairveiw, Joppa, Simcoe, Hanceville, Colony, Garden City, White City Friday - Crane Hill, Logan County Shopping Route Rates are $3, per round trip. Fare Structure Exact change required each time you board the bus... 0 to 7 Miles - $2 each way 7 to 15 Miles - $4 each way Over 15 Miles - $6 each way Disabled and age 60 or above receive a 50% discount on the above listed rates. Riders may schedule up to three stops per day (schedule permitting) with an additional charge of $1 per stop. Punch Cards: $10 & $20 cards available to purchase from the driver, or in the office. To ride CARTS, call the day before, prior to 2:30pm (Closed Weekends). Same day rides will be an additional $2 charge and can only be added if the schedule permits.
